Within the context of the Doctoral Programs at Técnico, non-academic internships — in addition to doctoral dissertations — include industrial internships, which provide students with real immersion in an industrial research environment and dynamics.
These internships are formally recognised as part of the students’ curricular training, subject to the approval of the respective Doctoral Program Coordinator. The estimated duration is 9 weeks full-time for 12 ECTS, or 14 weeks for 18 ECTS. The industrial internship ends with the delivery of an internship report, which must be reviewed by the scientific supervisor and validated by the Doctoral Program Coordinator.
